Enclosure

This single spiral enclosure series of paintings traces the explorations of an artist as a social entrepreneur from; Art School in Perth to the New Guinea Highlands, back to Mundaring Weir, up to the Kimberleys and across to Maroota in NSW.

Source to the Sea

The Source to the Sea series of paintings records the artist's learning about both his immediate landscape and his societal role in this landscape.

From the springfed source in the perched aquifers of an ancient river-bed on the Maroota Plateau, - this painting series follows the water moving down Little Cattai Creek (Sydney's Cleanest waterway) over waterfalls through the heritage rich Maroota Forest ("Sydney's Kakadu" on Channel 10's Totally Wild) to the broad water wetlands and it's confluence with the Hawkesbury River then bending east at Wiseman's Ferry flowing on to the sea.

Eastbend - Source to the Sea Series

It is a discrete water catchment spiral flow to the coast. If global warming is not averted this Little Cattai Creek waterfall in Maroota Forest would become Sydney's last naturally flowing waterfall, .

Creative Medicine

from a review by Nianda Greysmith

The Creative Medicine catalogue originates from a touring exhibition.
The collaboration and interweaving of mediums and messages does a variety of things, one of them being the altering of traditional, and familiar, methods of viewing.

Creative Medicine is a joint video/painting project with Trudi Latour.

It was shown in Spectrum Gallery ECU Perth, Mossenson Gallery Fremantle, and in Alphonso LagosGallery Uni Conception in Chile.

It was inspired by Jimmy Chi.

Visioning Pictorial Language
Paintings Series

Visual notation,
is a universal language inextricably linked with conceptualization.

The adjacent painting illustrates a management structure evolving from an open to a closed system.
It is a universal story of change without words...

A Subversive Approach

'Skilfull non-verbal communication is essentially subversive.
We would argue that this is its greatest justification:
-that subversion is closer to an organic evolution than is revolution.

Subversion, generally speaking,
requires that the ground be tilled before the seed of an idea can germinate.'

'As our species developed, certain values have remained constant,
expressed in that form of visual notation we call 'art'. ...
